Why Helical?

Helical is designed to bring breed registry, performance and genomic information together in one intuitive platform. It provides breeders with powerful tools and insights to better understand their herds, make informed breeding decisions and support ongoing genetic progress.

For Hereford breeders, Helical will provide a one-stop-shop experience, making it easier to access and interact with important herd and genetic information. The platform has been designed with breeder input and will continue to evolve, with new features and functionality introduced in response to user feedback.

FAQ

Will my animal and member records transfer to Helical?

Yes. Existing member, animal, pedigree and registration records will be migrated to the new system as part of the transition.

Will BREEDPLAN/EBVs change?

No. BREEDPLAN will continue as normal, with EBVs and Indexes remaining available through the new system. The group run cut over data will still be the 3rd of each month. Please submit all data submission for BREEDPLAN to this email address: breedplan@herefordsaustralia.com.au

From go-live, How do I view animals, members and sale catalogues?

The public Animal Search, Member Search and Sale Catalogue functions will remain available from the Herefords Australia website homepage, as will the login to Helical. These links will remain in the same location, making them easy to find and access. While the new Helical platform will look different, it will continue to provide similar functionality for searching and accessing information.

Is Helical replacing Hereford Live?

Yes. Helical is replacing the existing Hereford Live member-facing system.

Which internet browser should I be using?

It is recommended Google Chrome be used for accessing Helical for optimal performance.

I have feedback I want to submit on the Helical system, how do I do this?

Email us on registrar@herefordsaustralia.com.au with any feedback.

Can multiple people access our member account?

Yes! The account owner can invite additional users to access their Herefords Australia member account and set permissions for each user. This allows you to give family members, staff or other people involved in your stud access to the functions and information they need, while managing what each person is permitted to do.
