The sale result was as could be expected considering the weather on the day (one of the worst days we have seen for ages.) and the season prevailing in our area and expanding to large areas in the state of drought of awful proportions. After suffering from a large burnt area in the February fires we are now feeling the affects of that fire with the country carrying a much reduced quantity of feed to normal years.
We were very excited to receive the highest price we have ever received for a bull and thank Suz and Guy Lord along with Stephen Peake and David Lyons (losing bidders.) for their spirited bidding on what I must say was a very well put together bull bred by the efforts of Charlie Martin .This bull was in the top 10% of the breed for cedir,cedtrs,400d,ss,rib,rump,IMF(1.1 ebv. and 6.6% raw data.)
We must also thank the many return buyers and the new buyers who purchased at the sale. The largest buyer being Turee Vale past co Coolah with 4 bulls to $8,000.00 and ave $6,000.00.
