Herefords Australia Youth will provide financial support for a participating Herefords Australia Youth member seeking an educational travel experience (destination of their choice) to further develop their knowledge and understanding of the breed on a greater scale. The successful applicant will receive up to $5,000 to embark on their nominated educational trip.
Travel destination and duration is to be chosen and nominated by the applicant using the application form that opens on 17 February 2026 via the apply now button on this page.
Financial Herefords Australia Youth members who are entered (and compete) in the 2026 Herefords Australia Youth National Expo in the same year as applying for the travel scholarship are eligible to apply for the Herefords Australia Youth National Expo Travel Scholarship. All applicants must be 18 years of age prior to travel. Travel must be undertaken within 12 months (special consideration will be given upon request).
To be considered for the Herefords Australia Youth National Expo Travel scholarship, we must receive your completed application no later than 5 July 2025.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. A complete application consists of:
1. Complete the application by accessing the electronic form via the button on this page and filling out your personal information.
2. Include contact names, position, email and phone number for 2 references.
3. Details of your travel including a cost break down and proposed itinerary.
4. Applicant statement explaining why you should be considered to receive the Herefords Australia Youth National Expo Scholarship and what you feel you can contribute to Herefords Australia Youth if you are awarded the scholarship.
5. Upon completion of your application please email through a copy of your current resume to Olivia Pearce: opearce@herefordsaustralia.com.au
All eligibility requirements need to be met. If there are no eligible applicants, or applications received aren’t to the standard required, Herefords Australia have the right to not award the scholarship in 2026.
Please note: The successful applicant for the 2026 Herefords Australia Youth National Expo Travel Scholarship will be required to give a brief presentation of their travels undertaken with the scholarship at the 2027 Herefords Australia National Youth Expo formal dinner.
