A record attendance at the Glenellerslie Sale saw an extremely successful and record sale result, with top price being $7500, 20 Hereford bulls averaging $4050 and 10 Poll Herefords averaging $3300 giving an overall average of $3800, a clearance of 91% and a gross of $114,000.

Leading the way at $7500 was Glenellerslie Jasper, sired by Charnock Jackal, who sold to Reedy Creek Hereford Stud at Tamworth.

Followed by Glenellerslie Just Right 2 and Glenellerslie Jones who made $6500 each, purchased by Ross Trethowan of Cookardinia and John Scales of Dartmouth respectively.  The Trethowans  also purchased G Jamieson for $5750.

Long time Glenellerslie clients Laurie & Terry Forrest of Tintaldra bought G. Jed 2 for $6000 and G. Jabiru for $3500.

Gordon Moon of Wulgulmerang purchased G Jackson at $5000 and another for $2250 and Bill Coulston of Lucyvale secured G Juror for $5000. Tim Woodgate of Buchan picked up one for $4500, as did Janine Cooper from Wulgulmerang.

Topping the Poll Herefords at $4500 was G Jaques sold to Chris & Robyn Bright, Adelong and also at $4500, G. Juvenile going to Jeff & Helen Rial from Carabost. Michael Pattison purchased 3 bulls on behalf of Ryola, Deniliquin for a total of $9250.

A total of 12 bulls went to Victoria, 12 to NSW plus 6 were bought by local breeders. Mandy & Ross Smith would like to thank all successful purchasers and underbidders, along with Elders Rural Services for a marvellous result.
