Guyra Youngster Loves His Cattle (30/07/2012)

Guyra youngster Harry Jarrett, a student at The Armidale School, may only be 15, but his affinity for cattle saw him score some work helping a well known cattle stud for its bull sale.

Jack Smith, the manager of the Cascade Poll Hereford Stud at Currabubula, NSW, first noticed Harry’s enthusiasm at the Dubbo National Poll Hereford Show and Sale, where Harry was helping groom and prepare a bull being offered by The Armidale School Poll Hereford Stud.

As a result, Harry was offered a job, helping prepare bulls in the week leading up to the Cascade sale.

Harry said he had a great time working with the sale bulls and it was a wonderful learning experience as well.
